so anyways, up date update update.
this summer has been going very well, at least the last month of it has been great! but i can't believe that in less than a month i'll be back at boring old heights high. this year better be awesome or i'm dropping out (hehe i can say that now, i'm 16!). i hope to fill it with lots of parties and cultural events and fun. i wanna have a hoedown!!! look for more details of that the first or second week of september, so i can invite the foreign kids and my best bud, hallie, who currently is in exile in canada.
i miss a lot of people.....like my friends from my clowning group,(the twins, my fellow spectator) who i won't see till september, the folks from the mission trip last week, hallie, my mom's fam with whom i'm spending next week, my cousin in new zealand........ and i guess some folks from school. sometimes.
i've gotten to see a lot of them at two recent birthday parties, which were fun! but nothing compares to being surrounded by smart, sarcastic teenagers thirty-five hours a week, being crammed into little classrooms and gagged with useless knowledge. i can't wait.

| my 'uncle' took me out to lunch today...tommy's. you know i go there too much when i could tell the milkshake wasn't right by the color. it was more like chocolate milk....but with that special tommy's flavor? so it was good, but not shake-y enough. ah well.
I watched 'Center Stage' a few nights ago with Hal. And i thought (for like the 5th time) about how thats the kind of dancing i want to do-not the ballet, although the dance at the end is awesome! no, i gave up ballet six years ago. I'm not good at doing years of grunt work before actually dancing. but when she goes to the street dancing school and picks up that dance off the bat... thats the kind i wanna do!

| graduation parties are weird. i've officially decided. ok, maybe awkward? lets have the rundown:
david carlson's: fun! because it was like a huge family thing cause they've got a ginormous house and yard and those crazy journalism boys (ahem, ERIC and JEREMY) could attack me with water guns. it was great for everyone.
ours: fun, but awkward. because we had the jeromes (mom's family), the majewskis (dad's fam), and the friends (kids hanging around for rocky horror). maybe it was just weird for me cause i felt the need to circulate. but we didn't really have community people to bring it all together, which would have been nice.
where else where else.......ok just today then.
today was ryan (from my youth group)'s party...he basically invited a load of church people and a load of friends. it was good.....it was nice to meet some of his friends, they were a lot of fun. plus he has a pool table, which is always good for teenage bonding. i wish i had a pool table. or foozball. that's cool too. so i didn't get to talk to ryan as much as i would have liked, but what can ya do?
anyways, i've come to the conclusion that with general parties like that, the more people you invite the better it is. especially kids, cause adults will figure it out, but kids get real awkward and quiet and that's bad. | | comments: Leave a comment |

| hey ya....oh man, the whole 'swing of things' is not working out....i do not want to be there....but where i'd rather be i have no idea....
So not ready for the year to end. I definitely did not accomplish a lot of my goals, I kind of wimped out and let everything slide, and that doesn't feel real good. But i'm gonna have an invigorating summer and come back ready for my hardest year of high school. As an upperclassman. hopefully.
This weekend....was eventful, as i recall. Friday was Jazz Night, of course....always a great time to check out all the rising Heights stars and get some culture..then i watched Shakespeare in Love..i'm such a romantic.
Saturday...I cooked, etc around the house then worked at Nisa's...yay paper comes out friday! be the first on your block to get it! then i went to hessler with jeremy and had tons o fun wandering around university circle. and climbing in the big dragon and eating and looking at nice liberal stuff.
Sunday was the big day! mum and pops and i drove to columbus with the g-rents to see the baptism of my new cousinette (my cousin ashley's daughter, katherine ruth) and their new house...aww i want one..but not really, she actually did sound like the "baby think-it-over,' which is very not good.
aah tomorrow is graduation rehersal and wednesday is graduation! 543 names! gonna die!
hope i don't fall over and make a mockery (as c-mac would say) of myself when i fall asleep on stage at severance hall! hope there's a fire at school tomorrow when all of the principals are at practice so everything will be crazy and you can go home!

| today was the seniors' last day. it was sad.
because tomorrow is senior skip day, and no one in their right mind would come for the entire day monday. and graduation rehersal is tuesday, and graduation is wednesday. at severance hall! i'm singing......that means i miss a day of school and go sit up on stage looking beautiful for four hours while they read the names of all 400 something graduating kids.
and i realized that today was the last day i'd ever be at school with my sister. it was sad. tear. endings make me sad....like when i left france, it wasn't really that i would miss my family all that much (i mean, i really like, them, but)...but that it was a finish to a really good time, a really interesting and fun and developing time....all five days of it.

| it's 1:57 in the afternoon.
i have reached a new high (low?). i pulled an allnighter!
actually, i'm not really that excited about it. but i kept wanting to go see the sun come up and ryan was saying how it was like any other sunrise....but it wouldn't be cause i had watched the sunset......i tried to make it symbolic but it didn't work. plus i wouldn't have been able to see it, there was a school in the way. next time.
On Friday, I:
well, seventh period, I did distribution with Patrick and Paula....paula totally did a pole dance on a wall...we took a picture of this lonely locker...and patrick got a really bad picture of me looking like the girl from the ring. thats what people look like when paula molests them: :-0 except more sideways. then we sat outside and some kid jumped out the window to sit with us. he poured water on this heater-cooler-who knows thing and the water bounced. it was awesome. then my sister and i distributed coventry and went home and had ice cream.
Last night, I:
~went to the relay opening for a while, then left and went and did my singers concert. it was great......i think it was the best singers set i've ever done....and then it was tres sad because of senior solos and senior goodbyes and mr.dunlop, our old student teacher....tear! but big thankyous to the people who came and sat through it (it was really long), like jeremy and laura and christina....
~then i went back to relay. hmm. i wandered around for a while and talked to my church people..and people who were gonna leave...and then eventually i went and sat with hallie (s), greg, and this random guy michael who plays frisbee and had some dinner at like 1 am and got styrofoam thrown at me.
~then ryan came (yes, at like 1:30) and we walked for a couple hours....and eventually we went and sat in the big tent, and after a while i got hyper again and we had some debates....and i went back and forth.....and i don't really know what happened time-wise between like 3 and 7, but i was in the big tent..a load of junior guys and jeremy spent 2 hours trying to get down a bunch of balloons at the top of the tent.(i mean, they did, of course, they're troop 22 scouts, but still.).....once i hit andrew wilder with an umbrella (he hit me first, i swear...) so if he comes to school monday black&blue, yell at me or the other andrew (he hit him with a ten-foot-pole)....once i ran around the track....i kept checking the sky to see if it was light yet...it's all a blur.
~at like 8, my dad came and we went home...mad rush for the shower and we went to a brunch in mentor...it was ok...a graduation from college thing for my cousin and fiance, and a welcome to her parents from japan, and a happy 18th birthday to my other cousin...it was kind of weird because it was at the house of the 4 boys and they all had their girlfriends there..fun, but different with new people, ya know? my dad's the oldest of seven kids, and i have 13 cousins on that side...next year there'll just be me and Chase (my age) left in the area who havent't graduated. hmm. there used to be so many of us! cause hallie, taylor, and sean are leaving...
ok this is a super-long entry. perhaps i should break it up so you will read it? naw, too much work. this is what happens when it's 32 and a 1/2 hours without sleep. hm.. going to nap. if i can.

That makes me so happy. not only is it useful and inspiring, but it brightened my day. thank you, ryan! :-)
on a different note (kind of, depends who you know), relay for life is this friday! yay!!!!!! if it rains all night, i swear....everyone just ended up having sex last year and that was no fun for me.
i also have a concert that night. which i' m looking forward to, cause it's the last one and we do lots of cool stuff,but i'm sad about too cause we hav 18 kids leaving and we do all the sad songs like 'letting go' and 'beauty and the beast'. but we do 'let it be me' and 'brothers and sisters', too! (they're the singers songs, have been sung at spring concerts in a special way for a really long time).
i can't stand 16 more days of this. at least the last three will just be psycho-studying/testing and then it'll all be over. but then i have an excuse for my craziness, while now i'm just going nuts......even hallie (s) thinks i've been a little weird, and she knows me when i'm weird.
how come i have no ice cream? no idea. when will i have ice cream? when i go buy some when someone else gives me money. (not using mine, i work hard for that. so take that, you crazy 8, 4, and 1 year old boys!)
time for bed. again. i actually slept last night and hallie said i had huge bags under my eyes. i think i have those all the time. maybe she had something in her eyes obstructing her sight??? maybe i should use my mom's under-eye makeup. maybe not.

| Yeah just got back from a weekend at camp! score!
I was out at Camp Wanake (methodist, in Beach city) with the UMC Cleveland District Youth Council (of which I'm, secretary, and hopefully next year president!)... We did the weekend instead of our annual one-night lock-in at a church for something different. Plus we only paid like half-price because our Saturday activity was doing service around the camp...so i helped scrape, wash and paint two cabins. If you ever are planning a weekend and don't have enough stuff to do, look for service ops- it was a lot of fun and gave us a theme for the weekend and a sense of accomplishment. It's surprising how much youth will enjoy working with their hands...
But it was a great weekend. I got to play in the mud and climb on the rock wall- first person to the top! (of the easy one, not the hard one, of course.)I also got to know a lot of fellow officer-types a lot better...like ashley, who's president of the big conference next year....and jordan, who was a lot of fun...and bryan, who's our advisor's son and is like a piano genius.
but i was thinking how much fun it would be to be a camp director for a year...not forever, i have some ambition and not enough contentment, but to live out there and care for a big patch of land and buildings and welcome new groups of people every weekend during the winter and loads of kids every week in the summer...i could definitely do that. i just love being at camp...it makes me feel fleshed-out and....real? yeah. | | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| yeah i know i'm total crap at keeping up stuff like this. but i just stole some getfuzzy icons and had to show them off!! See, i read livejournal like everyday( for my get fuzzy fix) but i never have time or desire to actually write.....this week's been crazy and a lot of fun cause my parents are in Florida. :) Its just really relaxing to have 2 less people worrying about you, and have no one asking about school and stuff. I spent the last two days at hallie sinclair's house, and it was so much fun! homework is easier when there's someone else around.
